THREE SIGNS YOUR TRANSMISSION IS GOING BAD

THREE SIGNS YOUR TRANSMISSION IS GOING BAD

SIGN #1: SLIPPING GEARS

You should be familiar with the feeling of your vehicle when it changes gears. When you have a problem with your transmission, the gear shifting may feel different. You truck can feel like it does not have enough power, or it may stall at red lights and stop signs.

SIGN #2: LISTEN TO THE SOUNDS

Your truck can alert you to any mechanical issues with unusual noises. A transmission problem may sound like grinding gears or whining. If you notice any new noises, you should take your truck to a reputable repair shop.

SIGN #3: SEEING RED

Most transmission systems are sealed, so if you notice engine discharge, you may have a leak. You can place a sheet of cardboard under your truck if you suspect a leak to determine the fluid color.

Transmission issues should be resolved quickly to keep your truck in good working order. Please contact S&T Truck Repair to learn more.
